The Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Somerset County Business Partnership began this task force in an effort to address the unique impacts COVID-19 has had on our safety, economy, and future.

Established in April, 2020, we strive to benefit businesses, residents, and visitors by accelerating economic recovery and adaptation, increase public safety, further economic policies, and capitalize on “next normal” opportunities.

Our Collaborative Effort

The Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Somerset County Business Partnership agreed to establish, in April of 2020, a Somerset County, NJ COVID-19 Economic Recovery Task Force as a collaborative effort.

The purpose of the Task Force was to inform decision-making on strategies that would address the unique impacts COVID-19 has had on our economy. This report details the focus areas and recommendations of the task force
